Mount Fitness offers kids yoga to ages 2.5 -10 years old. Both yoga classes provide a positive environment for your child to blossom and increase self-awareness as well as build self-confidence.
|Parent/Child Class (Ages 2 1/2–5)||This is an interactive class where children and parents become animals, plants and other parts of nature as we explore yoga pose and breathing techniques in a fun and playful manner. Through the use of stories, games, music and other activities, children build strength, coordination and flexibility, all while having fun. We also close each class with breathing and visualization techniques that foster self-control and relaxation.|
|Kid’s Yoga Class (Ages 5–10)||This is an energy filled class where children are allowed to be themselves, as we explore a variety of yoga poses and breathing techniques. Through cooperative games and team-building activities, children build an understanding of the importance of working together, all while increasing strength, flexibility, and coordination. In an environment where every child succeeds, children develop inner-strength and self-confidence. Each class ends with a time of guided relaxation where children are invited to utilize breathing techniques learned in class on a deeper level.|
