Children in the Facility
Children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children between the ages of 12-15 must have an adult on the premises. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted on the balcony, in the weight room or cardio area in the gym. (No exception to these guidelines unless the youth is supervised in an exempted program.)
While we patiently wait for approval of a family changing area, we ask members with small children to be as considerate as possible when it is necessary to bring a small child of the opposite sex into the locker area. Please check the locker area and then escort child in when it is clear for them to enter while not imposing on the privacy of other members. You may take children into one of the side locker rooms if necessary. Do not leave children unattended at any time. We ask your cooperation in this serious matter until we get the family changing area situation approved. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the director.
Family Memberships
Children ages 14–15 who are covered by a family membership may use the weight room, balcony and cardio area in the gym if directly supervised by THEIR OWN parent at all times. These children will not be allowed to be supervised by older siblings or other adult members – no exceptions.
Accommodations
If you have a disability and may require special accommodations in order to fully participate in Mount Fitness activities please contact the Director to discuss your specific needs.
Inclement Weather/Emergency Closing Policy
For information about adverse weather and emergency closings please call 978-630-9212. Even if the college closes due to inclement weather, Mount Fitness may not be closed. If Mount Fitness is already open when the college closes, it will remain open until the Director reaches a decision concerning closing. If the decision to close is made before regular opening hours the weather situation will be re-assessed during the day with the possibility of opening later – please check our outgoing message on the voice mail for updated information. You may also check Mount Fitness’s Facebook page for updates.

Please try not to bring valuables to Mount Fitness. All personal property must be locked in our locker rooms – gym bags, coats, car keys, etc. may not be left out. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Parking
Parking is available to all members in Lot D. There are handicapped spaces located directly in front of the Center. Please observe all parking signs as you will be ticketed if parked illegally on campus.
Locker-Rooms
Lockers and showers are available for your daily use. Members may bring their own locks, rent one, or you may purchase one at the front desk. All locks left on lockers overnight will be removed. Jackets, bags, car keys, etc. are not allowed in the gym, balcony, and pool area or in the weight area. Please put them in your locker to help us keep the facility neat and safe for all.
Workout Attire
Appropriate workout attire with elastic or drawstring waistbands is required. Shirts and sneakers must be worn at all times. Participants may not workout in street clothes. We do not allow pants with buckles, snaps, or buttons at the waistband on the equipment. Inappropriate clothing includes clothing with offensive slogans, strapless clothing, pants with rolled down waistbands or other excessively revealing clothing. For safety’s sake, we also require that all clothing that you are not wearing (sweatshirts, jackets, etc.) be locked up in the locker room.
